"Amazing gettaway with wonderful friends "
September 2026 The villa is wonderful. The pool is in great shape. Plenty of lounge chairs and outside space. Beautiful view and beautiful gardens. The few things that would give me pause to return are the lack of basics- garbage bags, a few extra rolls of toilet paper and no dish soap or hand soap in the main powder room and little in the bathrooms. The beds get a fail for our group. They were extremely hard mattresses and nobody slept well. If the beds were replaced to semi firm mattresses we would have been happier. Even some foam toppers left in the closets would have been helpful to the group. Location is excellent. A very short walk to the beach.
Yorick, our host and connection, was excellent. He was very responsive to our inquiries and requests. There was a wasp nest in the yard and it was removed right away.
Charcoal is required for the bbq.
Aside from the beds, this place is a gem and affordable for group of 6.
I am writing this review two after departure. Have not received deposit return yet, but expect it will be a few days for that.

"A true 10/10 stay "
August 2019 What a great location for a villa, its approx 350m from one of the top 10 beaches in Europe. the villa itself was perfect for the 7 of us, outside space was great, pool was clean (note its a salt water pool) which is not heated, but you get used to it! The kitchen was well equiped with decent oven, dishwasher, microwave, toaster, kettle etc. Living space was good, aircon where required, beds were comfy and showers were hot! Not a lot more you need really! A few very small points, that would have made it even better, and i note, these are very minor!! Hand soap in every bathroom would have been nice, as would full toilet paper rolls with more available (we had to go buy some on day 2), The towels were tired, we could have done with an extra towel each and newer refreshed ones would have been nicer. Washing up liquid and some more bin bags and dishwasher tablets would have also been nice. As i said, all very minor points. There are multiple supermarkets in under a 10 minute drive, Aldi was great for most things as it was way cheaper than Intermarche for the basics. A true 10/10 stay though, location, villa, communication before and during stay was excellent, we would love to return again!!

"The Kids Loved the Pool"
July 2019 A lovely large home with all required conveniences. A short walk to Praia de Marinha, a quick drive to the supermarkets and easy Uber rides to the restaurants closeby.
The staff at Amarante were friendly and responsive to all of our questions.

"just 300 m to the beach"
June 2019 A great house, nothing was missing. 300 m to the beach, 500 m to the restaurant Rustico (highly recommended) and only a few minutes drive to Benagil or to Carvoeiro. Highly recommended and eventually we will be back. Family fingers from Dresden / Germany
